Voices of GIST: Florentina Schäfer, a former student

I believe that being at GIST is something very special. When I talk to my friends about the school, I always realise how much I appreciate this school experience. My first day at school was a particularly memorable moment because it was simply perfect and I also felt that I had been well received. Although I joined in 2013, I found my place very quickly. I also felt welcome thanks to my teachers at the time, as they were always friendly and helpful and always took a lot of time for everyone in the class.

I particularly enjoyed the things we did in class, as well as the excursions and celebrations, as they further strengthened our special class community and were, of course, a lot of fun. These wonderful experiences not only taught me a lot about school, but also about life.

Based on my great school experience, one thing is clear to me: ‘GIST is a great school - one of the best I've ever been to - and you're in really good hands there’.
