  • For the 2025/2026 school year, we are seeking a full-time teacher to work in the secondary school, covering grades 5 through 12.

    Job Profile:

    You will teach at least two of the following subjects - Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, or Geography - with an interdisciplinary approach, at the secondary level.

    • You will play a key role in developing, strengthening, and enhancing the scientific profile of our school.

    • You will lead the science department.

    • As part of this role, you will join the management team and the steering committee, working closely with the school leadership in all areas.

    • You will support the school leadership in quality development initiatives.

    • You will facilitate student participation in mathematical and scientific competitions, such as the Kangaroo Contest, Dechemax, and Canadian competitions (e.g., Science Rendezvous).

    • You will establish and foster connections with STEAM organizations in Toronto and worldwide, organizing student participation in these networks.

    • As part of your role, you will regularly attend IB Diploma training sessions and integrate the outcomes into our school development initiatives.

    • You will regularly participate in regional training programs for German schools in North America and implement these outcomes in our school development.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Education or equivalent.

    • Ontario Teaching Certificate (OCT) in good standing preferred; other teacher licenses accepted.

    • 1-2 years of classroom teaching experience; experience in a private school is an asset.

    • Experience with the IB Diploma Program is desirable but not required.

    • We expect a high level of subject expertise, a modern and diverse pedagogical skill set, and experience in differentiation and individualized teaching.

    • You have extensive experience with digital media and can develop a media curriculum for the school.

    • You bring enthusiasm to our team and demonstrate exceptional motivation, flexibility, and dedication.

    • You have excellent written and spoken English skills. Your communication is transparent and characterized by mutual respect.

    • By the start of your employment, you hold a valid work visa for Canada.

    Start Date: August 1, 2025
    Working Hours: Full-time
    Employment Type: Contract
    Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

  • Please note that the application process for the 2025/2026 school year has started, and we are currently reviewing the first round of applicants. Applications submitted after December 4, 2024, will be considered only after the completion of the first selection round.

    We offer unpaid internships in our elementary and secondary grades as well as in kindergarten. Internships ideally last five months, including holidays and school breaks. We kindly ask you to refrain from applying for internships lasting shorter than three months. 

    School Year and Breaks
    Our school year runs from September to June. The first term begins on the first weekday of September (the day after Labour Day) and lasts until the end of January. The second term runs from February to the last weekday of June. We have one week of fall break, two weeks of Christmas break, and two weeks of March break. We do not offer any internships during our summer break. 

    Office Internships
    We offer unpaid office internships in the departments of office administration, finances, and marketing. These internships have a minimum length of six months. 

    Expectations
    Interns are expected to be present during school hours (Mon-Fri, 7:45 am - 1:15 pm). For more detailed information about our internships, please carefully review our information package. Please apply only if you have read the information package and agree to its contents.

    Interns will gain hands-on experience in a small school with small class sizes and a close-knit welcoming community. This setting allows for meaningful interactions and close bonds with students and staff. Interns will work closely with experienced educators, receive one-on-one mentorship, and build professional networks.
