Voices of GIST: Nina Wichmann, a current parent

I have very fond memories of the first school picnics at the end or beginning of the school year with all families. That was especially nice because you couldn't meet so often in the beginning.

In addition to the picnics, the best experiences for me at the GIST were the enrollment of one of my children in school and all the celebrations where the students performed something - such as the choreographies of the dance club or the performances of the choir. What I liked most were the events where the whole school came together.

Looking back today, I would tell my younger self that there are many different ways to get to your goal – and that even the goal itself can change again and again. From my point of view, trust and confidence that everything will be okay are the most important things on the way to adulthood. My advice that I would like to give to the students of the GIST is very simple: Enjoy the ride.
