Voices of GIST: Pauline Kroll, a former student

Leaving the GIST was an incredibly sad moment for me, especially because it was in the times of COVID-19 when we still had online learning. I was extremely sad because it felt like I was saying goodbye to a second family. It was such a positive, small community, and everyone knew each other.

After going to the GIST, I learned a lot about the community and became much more open minded to other cultures, because of the diverse, supportive community. Something especially important that I learned is how to make close friendships in a short time, and how to connect quickly, because of the come and go of many students. Even after moving to another country, I still remember those positive moments that happened during my time at the GIST.
