Big band energy from Cologne! The German International School Toronto celebrates 75 years of German-Canadian friendship with a vibrant concert. Twenty-five students from Germany are touring across Canada, with their grand finale in Toronto.

The Süd Beat Big Band from Cologne is an award-winning ensemble that blends modern genres into a powerful big band sound. Whether hip hop, pop-rock, or fresh takes on classical works, the Süd Beat Big Band always brings the groove. Their concert tours have taken them to China, the Netherlands, and Peru — and this year, to Canada. They have performed at Cologne Jazzweek and the Lovebird Festival in Düsseldorf, and were named best big band in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
